Annual Refresher Course Program, 1941
Yesterday was the 2026 Reed Conference for Pharmacy! The conference dates back to 1940, when it was known as the Refresher Course Program. 171 pharmacists attended the first program in 1940, and became known as the Annual Refresher Course Program until 1982, when it was renamed after Howard L. Reed.

Radiologic science programs were one of the first new programs offered at MCP/AHS after the charter change, with the associateβs degree in nuclear medicine technology announced in Fall 1982.
In 1979, the name of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy was changed to the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences (MCP/AHS) and the charter was changed to provide greater educational flexibility.
This year it runs from November 2-8 and the theme is βThe Kaleidoscope of Radiologic Technology.β National Radiologic Technology Week always takes place during the week of November 8 to commemorate the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm RΓΆntgen on November 8, 1895.
