Does anyone know any resources or articles talking about how to approach large scale interconnected puzzle design? Toying with the idea of something along the lines of a big escape room mansion game similar to Blue Prince and Lorelei and The Laser eyes

I've been feeling this with the idea of people moving to a discord alternative, if some big switch to a new app happens it'll likely just become discord again with all the same problems if it gets big enough if the incentives that caused discord to go bad still exist...

Game design is an extremely complicated and broad subject.

It is often mistaken for 'experience playing games'. Namely, "I play a lot of games, therefore I know what makes a great game".

And yes, research is a part of games design but it is only a small part, especially without deconstruction.
