I found out some devastating news about my childhood best friend’s mother passing away Tuesday night. She was my other mother and probably loved me as much if not more than my own. That might sound harsh, but it’s not. I loved her so much and it’s hitting me.

I have very little confidence that our elections will be free and fair.

Even if the results are reported accurately, Trump and Republicans in Congress will likely impede any Democrats from assuming office.

I also don’t trust our military or law enforcement.

But I’m still going to vote.

As a country we have made a lot of mistakes in foreign wars over the last 2+ centuries. But I’m not sure we have ever looked as feckless, foolish, incompetent and ridiculous at the leadership level than right now.

To the "I didn't vote for this" folks. You voted for a convicted felon. A twice-impeached president. A man found liable for sexual abuse, who tried to overthrow an election. And now gas prices are surging, we're at war, and soldiers are coming home in coffins. This is what you voted for. All of it.

When Iranian news is more honest than American news, if a bit repetitive.

Coming up on 30 years since the Dunblane school shooting massacre (13th March 1996) and watching another documentary about it. The families wanted to end legal handgun ownership and we passed those laws. We’ve not had a school shooting since. I ache for all Americans who cannot get this done there.

Four times I've tried planting kale seeds in a little pot indoors.

Four times the seeds have sprouted, much to my delight, for a day or two, then disappeared.

I assumed I was just a terrible gardener, even indoors.

Have just come into the kitchen to find Prism...
