it's really weird to me that retroarch, a program with like the worst UI known to man is the only option for emulating quite a few consoles on android, a userbase not generally known for their tech savvy.

I am of the opinion that emulation existing, no matter how easy it is, doesn’t mean older games shouldn’t get re-releases. While I’d never pay 20 dollars for a GBA ROM, you also gotta consider how fucking evil the retro game market is for older physical Pokémon games especially.

PS2 emulation on Series X is solid. If you want it in your living room or want a clean room-esque environment to run it on for a stream, It's worth doing if you already have a Series X. I would not purchase a Series X to do this.
it’s been one year with my steam deck! it is a device that i highly recommend. i have 100 hours on the witcher 3 and probably 80 of those were played on the deck, and i played it on two flights. this is a great device for emulation, for playing indie games, and AAA games from 5-10+ years ago
