Yeah, but you can see that cute face!
Goldfinger and A Fistful of Dollars are up there, but neither of them have animated penguins so gotta agree with you here.

Things my adventure games will do:
- Offer unique worlds to explore and characters to meet
- Tell compelling stories, some with branching narrative
Things they wonβt do:
- Frustrate you with unfair logic
- Make you regain your lost childhood

Well deserved. Harley is a great character and the VO cast was incredible!
Congratulations! It's a fun game!
Congratulations!
adventure games from the 80s were intentionally designed to be tricky, mean and occasionally counterintuitive so that you could get stuck for long periods of time. this was called βvalue for your dollarβ
This is beautiful.
Yep. I had a cat that kept them away, but he's gone now.
"you need to learn how to use gAI or you'll get left behind!"

the absolute fastest way to render yourself unemployable is to build your skillset around a tool that does your thinking for you, that everyone has access to, and that one company can change or take away at any time
Wait until you level up some more. Then you unlock 'Tired but with Insomnia'. Loads of fun!
But not by an actual British person.
I've been saying this for years! Just not as eloquently.
One of these is an underrated classic that takes place in the 1920's. Play all three to figure out which one!
Does it have a bucket? ;)

I want my string beans to be quarantined.
Replaying QfG is never a bad idea. I'll assume at 500 games you have played Quest for Infamy and Order of the Thorne by @infamousquests.bsky.social and A Golden Wake by @grundislav.games but if you haven't there is no time like the present!
Oh thereβs also this fun 5.25β floppy organizer

all the AI companies are talking about "AGI" being the next big thing, but Sierra On-Line figured out AGI back in 1984
Cover of Game Informer magazine. The top right headline says βAn Adventure Game Renaissance?β
Front page of the article, βThe Grand Adventureβ with art from Chants of Senaar in the background
From the article: βGenerally, modern point-and-clicks have moved away from the absurd puzzles that stumped players in the '90s. Francisco Gonzalez, who made 2025's point-and-click Western, Rosewater, sees puzzle-focused design as "more conducive to comedy adventures." Puzzles seem like a stranger fit in more serious games, so Rosewater focuses on exploring branching paths instead. There are often multiple solutions to puzzles, and the story changes in response to your choices.β

This monthβs issue of @gameinformer.com features a big article about adventure games! It was an honor to be included :)
I KNEW it.
Air gap it and run it till it dies.
THIS is the tool I want. I don't need advanced features, and I sure as hell don't want AI 'features'.
Yeah same. Irritated they added AI tools to notepad and broke it. No one who uses Notepad wants more features.
Interesting. I've not tried that.
