SUMI MY BELOVED... i imagine he anonymously left them the gift the night before. he knew he could never show up so he made sure something of him did, whether or not they knew who it was from. his parting gift. happy birthday sumi :)
he would put his smithing to work and give them a nice little wind chime, both to challenge himself and make their space feel less empty. tested by ear. pale brass. the crown piece cascades into subtle wings folded inward, like hands cupping something fragile. perhaps an inscription hidden somewhere
