Tomorrow the @greatercambs.bsky.social will make a decision on whether to trial safety and accessibility improvements, including a new footway, on Sidgwick Avenue. In our new blogpost, we explain what the experimental scheme is about and why we fully support it.

Cambridge Busway bridge to be closed to walkers and cyclists The closure is part of council work to install safety fences along the length of the Busway.

Note that the bridge between the southern Busway path and Cambridge Biomedical Campus will be closed from Sunday 1 March.

A big thank you to everyone from the @mrclmb.bsky.social who raised such a brilliant amount for Camcycle through their festive raffle.

The money raised will enable us to make a big difference to the lives and journeys of those who cycle – and would like to cycle – in & around Cambridge. Thank you!

Today we moved Anna Garratt-Quinton's memorial bike to a new home on the shared path opposite Addenbrooke's hospital, where she was a physiotherapist.

Thanks to @greatercambs.bsky.social for the specially-located Sheffield stand. We'll continue to work for safer junctions for all in her memory.

Just fix the damned potholes! How we fix potholes in Cambridgeshire, why we still have to, and what we’re doing to get ahead of the problem.

Potholes are top of the news at the moment: they cause issues for all road users and can be particularly dangerous for cyclists.

For those wondering about the Cambridgeshire situation, here's an update from the Chair of the Highways & Transport Committee: notesfromalex.substack.com/p/just-fix-t...

Camcycle welcomes the govt's road safety strategy to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on GB roads by 65% by 2035. In 2024, 31% of all road fatalities were pedestrians and cyclists. It's time to end the unnecessary suffering.
