Me blocking every advert and business that uses AI.
#AI
Every day there is news about fresh awfulness coming from AI and the talentless hacks endorsing it.
As an author whose work was stolen, and a creative person who loves and supports others working genuinely hard to share their own inspiration with the world, I will continue to state:
FUCK AI.
Seeing all the videos from London Book Fair (from the East Midlands) and being sad because a) it's too far for me to go right now and b) I really covet that bookish merch! ππ
Hubby is endlessly amused at how excited I got at 'give me that which I desire' being so grammatically perfect when I first heard it.

If you are an author or editor at *ANY* level -- from beginner to jaded old veteran like me, click through to the article Todd's posting about, take 2 minutes, and email them to let them know you opt out. Will save us all time having to mount yet a 577th class-action suit down the road.
You know the best way to kill AI? Don't use it. Don't buy it. Don't share it. Don't give the people who use it your labour or your money.
If AI developers wish to use our copyright work to build their software they can ask us for permission. If we agree, they can pay us to license it on clearly defined terms.
Tech companies ignoring copyright is theft. The UK government should uphold the existing law.

I have absolutely no idea what this book is about, but "nungry" is the best portmanteau neologism I've ever heard in my life
That alone makes me want to read it
