I've registered for the BAFTSS conference and the conference meal! I am so looking forward to attending and presenting my research! I'm on a fabulous panel too! I can't wait!
I begin teaching again this week, back at my PhD uni, Queen Mary University of London. I'm so looking forward to it! 🫶
Ooooo it's on Sky! Okay, I'm almost finished with Waterloo Road, then I'll start on this!
Honestly my popular culture knowledge is non existent these days. I blame post Viva life and going through corrections and working, leaving no time for normality 😂
Is this a TV show/film as well as a book? I hadn't heard of it until the other day but I keep seeing it mentioned everywhere.
I'll take a look, thank you! :)
I am absolutely delighted to be introducing this screening of PENNY SERENADE at the Bristol Megascreen tomorrow evening at 6:30pm (doors open 6pm).
Come along for badge-making, cocktails, choirs serenading you, and even weepie-worthy Cary Grant tissues!

A post from Guillermo del Toro, accompanied by a screenshot of The Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth. Text: "The Pale Man represents all institutional evil feeding on the helpless. It's not accidental that he is a) Pale b) a Man. He's thriving now." Reply by LegalizeVore: "My dad Guillermo laying it out." Reply by UnlimitedTrashWorks: "His table is piled high with food he will never touch, but he will kill you for taking the smallest morsel, even if you are starving. Shit, how did I completely miss the point of this."

Guillermo del Toro quote "...think about wealth for me for example. A wealthy man that has enough..."
"not a man that needs more. If you have enough to invite somebody to beer..."
"...you're rich. If you have, whatever-"

I've only seen a few episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I just don't like it and I don't get the appeal, yet I used to play it at primary school with like every other kid in my class, but I had no idea who my character was or what I was meant to be doing, but that was still entertaining.
I once had to share my screen with IT, and he told me I needed to close my tabs to restart Chrome, so I said I'd have to call him back because I had a million tabs open with different research articles that I didn't want to lose, so I spent the next 20 mins favouriting the URLs 😂
I wouldn’t tell anyone if I won the lottery but there would be signs.
Omgggg it's the best. Carbs with carbs - you can't beat it. It's an English staple from fish and chip shops. So warm and soft and comforting.
My go to is McCain microwave chips with a slice of buttered bread with Nandos vegan peri mayonnaise on. I've been making chip butties since I was about 8, and 25 years later it's still my favourite meal. I have it almost daily.

Haha rival no, but I have a secret Letterboxd crush? 😂
What a get up. Girlie needs to do a fashion blog.
The wife is unable to fit into a taxicab and unable to walk due to the tight skirt. Unwilling to be seen with an unfashionable wife, the husband purchases a child's wagon to aid in transport, which quickly catches on.
Danish director Viggo Larsen is one of my favorite new discoveries. He worked in every genre but my favorites are his fresh and witty comedies.
A NEW HAT FOR THE MADAM (1906) satirizes the craze for giant hats and hobble skirts as a fashionable woman terrorizes Copenhagen with her huge chapeau.

Absolutely phenomenal. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better play.
