A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.

More than almost anything else, I will miss having a President who is capable of compassion, decency and empathy in times of crisis.
in a world of Donald Trumps, be a Jimmy Carter
I would love to see a bunch of musical artists and celebrities put on a nationally televised tribute concert for Pres. Jimmy Carter on inauguration day with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.
we need poetry because at a low point in my teens I came across the line βlet the day be time enough to mourn / the shipwreck of my ill-adventurβd youthβ in an old poem, and just the knowledge that someone else felt lost and adrift as a young person helped save me.
Just a reminder that your local library has more than books! Many also have dvds, cds, video games, game systems, internet hot spots, streaming services, ebooks, audio books, park passes, museum passes, and so much more! Maybe it's time for a visit! β€οΈπ
