And obviously I could not leave the bottom side untouched, so even there I modeled some trim and stuff.
Also I hid some magnets in the threads, enough for the Rhino to hold its own weight.

The dude has a custom helmet I got from some etsy store, really cool design if you ask me.

Being able to open all the doors gives quite a view of the inner diorama, and makign all the work worth it. This might be the first model for me where I really took a lot of time for sub-assembly and painting it in stages. The inner life was fully painted before the outer shell was even decorated.

The backdoor was functional anyway but I was not able to find any really interesting Rhino dioramas online. Maybe just bad luck.

The guy sitting there reading is made from mostly old space marine parts chopped up and glued together to create this weird little pose.

All doors are functional, on one side I even cut through the inner blast door to get the "open" shape, while on the other I converted it to a weapon storage.

When looking in through the door you might spy a head dangling from the ceiling.

I finished my Rhino, invested waaaay more time than would have been necessary.
Super proud of the outcome, the simple little tank is like a tiny diorama. 🥹

I started playing this on stream just to be forced to finally give it a real shot.

Seems to be working.

Finally here's the sorcerer all of his little minions have been hyping up over the weeks.

A really fun kitbash, and although it was hell of a lot work I can recommend it to all thousand sons players who want to switch it up a bit.

One of the doors is reworked to a utility closet, containing a boltgun, soem grenades and combat drugs, a scroll of unholy text and more candles.

The Rhino might look a bit bland from the outside, but at least it has a rich inner life!

The work payed off a ton, I love the way it is now a little diorama.
I imagine the marine is quickly reading up on his homeWord before a big test in Bearer School.

The banner is made of greenstuff, a sorcerer's staff and the flame icon + some random shit.
I tried some freehand, aside the warband icon decal. Hope it's recognizable.

At his hip he has a chainsword, removed from the hand of a random chaos legionary, a sword hilt from the vigilor box now in place.

Next Rubric done.
The grenade-arm is from the EC tormentors and I really wanted to use it but it had no place in the EC kill team.

The bolter, strapped under the cloak, was way more work to build than anticipated. I used some straps from a phobos marine.

Another Rubric with boltgun, this one just extrudes aura. This mini alone looks like it would be the squad leader but it's just a grunt.

The colors are very christmas-y, I realize. Maybe he got some presents.

A group of best friends going through thick and thin, always on whacky adventures. They would surely never plunge daggers into each others backs.

We will see what those crazy kids are up to in the future, I heard some god specific fanatics, or maybe even somebody versed in machinery might join.

And the Sorcerer, with all types of demons under his control. He would not shy away from letting his monsters go on a rampage if he thinks you are going to cross him, costing the warband quite a few lives in the past - but what can you do, he has the power of warp itself at his fingertip.

The Master of Posessions "Thousand voices" taking everybody that wants to connect with the demonic under his wing. Often this involves poaching forces from others, sometimes against their will.
But he at least will make sure none of them get out of control, with his silver tongue.

The Master of Executions and Coryphaeus of the warband, leading the bulk of the military force.

An upstart later adition to the warband, a converted primaris, having reached his rank by not only showing a lot of prowess for war, but also simply cutting of the head of his superior.

The Dark Apostle and his Choir of Cultists.

He invests a lot of time on converting citizens ahead of conquering worlds, using them for infiltration and sabotage.

Thoset doing an outstanding job get the honor to come back to their homeworld in the warp, "Hemophage", a planet of hardened blood.

Poetically the Chaos Lord I painted a few days ago was exactly mini #100 of my Word Bearer's Warband, "The Chalice of Eternity"

I think that warrants some group shots.
