Support the Prairieland Defendants | DFW Support Committee The future of political freedom in America is on trial in North Texas. Learn about the case and why it matters for anyone who cares about civil liberties.

Has @socialistra.org made any statement in support of the Prairieland Defendants, several of whom are SRA members?

Been living this reality with my partner since November 2024. His leg is saved (so far as now), but he's alive at all by a factor of inches.

She’d Never Changed Her Gender Marker. Kansas Invalidated Her License Anyway. β€” Assigned A trans Kansas resident recently changed her name but not her gender marker on her license, fearing what Kansas may do if she did. The Kansas DMV still flagged her ID.

This story, from @natezuke.bsky.social, is absolutely wild. A trans woman who never changed her gender marker was issued a letter invalidating her license. At the DMV they cut up her license, which had an "M" marker.

A grey coloured eastern screech owl, sitting in their hole in their tree in the bright winter sun, their eyes closed in apparent contentment. The owl is quite small, with small tufts of feathers on their head that look like ears, and remarkably bark-like mottled plumage. Their feathers are fluffed up in the cold so that they look almost spherical.

Shoutout to everyone who relies on selling prints to stay alive but feels like the worlds most useless cunt by doing so during another stupid war by a demented pedophile

Perhaps it’s partly due to translation, but this reporting is very confusing. It feels like very little information being manipulated into lots of implication πŸ˜•

These artists are making concerts safer with COVID-19 precautions - The Sick Times While most of the music industry has moved on, COVID-conscious performers have been working to prevent their shows from being superspreaders.

For @thesicktimes.org, I looked at the state of COVID safety in live music and how artists and event producers can still protect themselves and audiences thesicktimes.org/2026/02/17/t...

I had to dig around to remember even how to use chat here! It's the chat bubble icon on the left on browser or on bottom on the app, there doesn't seem to be an icon on our profiles.

We had two feral grey boy kittens living on our deck and Fen loved to play with them through the screen door and when she was out on a leash. They sadly disappeared, and she really seemed like she missed them and wanted another cat to play with. So I got a grey boy kitten...aaaand she hates him.

I am so jealous that they took to each other like this (of course happy for you that they did). The kitten I brought home was "the wrong one" according to First Cat and they're only barely beginning to tolerate each other two and a half years later.

Happy bday by the way!

If you're seeing an internet-wide pile-on on someone, it often has come after many months or years of others trying to reach that someone in private, in person, in gentler public call-in ways that you maybe haven't seen, and instead of listening the someone continues to double-down and get worse.

When I saw this at a glance I worried I was about to see an obituary. Emin is an artist who fascinated me early in my art life and she's lived in my head ever since. Glad to see her surviving and I find having contradictory feelings about her makes me appreciate her even more.

Wetland friends in the sketchbook for dry media that I insist on torturing with wet stuff.
