China is ordering its refineries to halt exports. Flows of crude exports from the Gulf to Chinese refineries, which are in turn generate refined products exports, are an essential part of the world economy.

Had a wonderful trip to speak at the Winter Seminar for the Norwegian Sociological Association… lots of serious thinking and ribald fun - Norwegian pop songs sung loudly in the bar late into the night. Freezing though in Storefjell -20 one night!
