For me, it was abusive parents (i.e. physical and psychological pain, warfare, etc.): the songs of two particular albums felt very relevant during adolescence (i.e. Pink Floyd The Wall [film in 1982] and The Hurting [1983] by Tears For Fears).

Cueva de los Guácharos National Park (est. 1960) is the oldest national park of Colombia; protecting cloud forest & páramo ecosystems, with one of the last intact oak forests in the country. It has caves that oilbirds nest in: the park has over 300 species of birds.
The Common Woolly monkey species in Colombia is critically endangered: threatened by hunting for meat & illicit pet trade, along with deforestation & habitat loss. Wildlife rangers do their utmost to protect them in national parks, etc.
