They're my state's official fossil and all I seem to find are brachiopods, coral, leaves, and the occasional crinoid. I think I found a worm/leech once but I left it behind. Went back for it days later and it was gone.
Winged Wheel put on a helluva show last night. Between sets and after the show I got to talk to Steve Shelley! Sonic Youth's "dirty" has been a mainstay in my collection since like 93-94 when I was just a wee lad. Getting to talk to him made me feel like I was 12-13 all over again. What a nice fella
I have to seriously wonder about some of them. Like, how accurate are the depictions? Like Tullimonstrum. Did it really have a mouth snoot or was it a crazy retractable mouth that just got squished out of its body then fossilized?

Huh, so they found fat molecules in a Dickinsonia fossil that prove it was an animal! I was wondering about that myself ,as the last couple years I've had a weird interest in ancient earth life. Lemme tell ya, there were some alien looking creatures roaming the earth WAAAY before the dinosaurs came.

Thanks for letting little 16 year old me crouch on stage by you during the encore(the place was packed, I was stuck ) so I could snag the setlist. This show goes down as one of the best I've seen and possibly one of the best to be booked at the Concert Cafe circa 1997.

Went and jammed with one of my buddies last night. Found out that we can play a ton of rap songs with real instruments 😆. Both our musical backgrounds are very punk/rock N/or roll/stoner/doom. It was actually really fun! Now we just need somebody to spit them hot fire bars!

I think I'm talking to the wrong people if when I mention revolution I get met with blank stares. I see a lot of anger, and rightfully so, but not a lot of direction or organization. I'm all for the concept of "I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees" but there's gotta be a better solution.
