Seeing Chinese takeaway discourse on the tl so I want you to know about Lam's in Ballyfermot, where the owner and his son had a fallingnout so the son opened New Lam's next door.

Middle-aged man living in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I like wargaming, miniatures and boardgames. Even GW things, especially Blood bowl. I've published boardgames with White Dog Games and Dietz. Own chickens and sighthounds. Foodie. Autistic kids.

Go was weirdly one of the most expensive yesterday. Sainsbury's was cheaper than Go just before the war started
My daughterβs game is on Kickstarter! She put her heart and soul into this, and so much blood. Too much really.
Please pledge so we can undo the ritual.

Everything is better with zombies
Nice to roll some dice today at #HertsOfLard @joewargamer.bsky.social A game of Sharpe's Partizans in the morning followed What a Commando (with added zombies of course)
Some more 20mm German stuff for my motorpool. 3D printed StuG III Ausf. F/8 from Night Sky Miniatures and some Einheits-LKW from PSC.
Photographed in front of a HandiWorks backdrop as usual.

Great write up. Bloody Goths!
Gameboard showing position at the end. My natives have most of Cuba, but a late Spanish surge has gained them pretty much every other territory on the map.
Played a 2 player game of "Sea & Steel: Columbus' Voyages" last night by @nevagamepress.bsky.social. My natives were narrowly beaten by the pesky Spanish. I did retake Cuba though, which was my highpoint. Well designed game with a lot of scope for variety of play.
Very good!
Map of a solitaire game where you get to charge into the valley of death...
Some more nonsense I'm working on.
1/3000 scale models. Hood and King George in the foreground fire at the German forces: Bismarck with Hipper, and Scharnhorst with Prinz Eugen. You can just see 4 British destroyers approaching the Germans in the upper left
Sink the Bismarck? No, but I nearly sank the Scharnhorst and Prinz Eugen instead. Hood did not blow up this time, but King George shamefully broke off the action. Bismarck was damaged by destroyer torpedoes but escaped. General Quarters rules.
Looks like the Soviet-equipped side came off the worse in this encounter?
Where I live the Months coincide better with the seasonal changes seen in nature than the equinoxes. So March, April, May is spring; June, July, August is summer; September, October, November is autumn; December, January, February is winter.
Excellent work!
A few days ago I posted pics of my Ramillies in 6mm. I knew I had other photos from a WSS battle, but couldn't immediately find them. Now I have! I give you Oudenarde in 6mm, with about 7000 teensy-tiny lads!
#OTD in 1944 Engineer-Major Tsyganov completed his study of T-34 tanks damaged by Panzerfausts. Mesh armour seen in Berlin was developed as a result of this study. #tanks #History #WW2 #WWII
In 1976, the IRA firebombed the HQ of the National Trust in Northern Ireland in which the Ulster Museum's textile & fashion collections were also housed. The fire brigade refused to enter the building owing to a dispute over danger money. This exhibition is about rebuilding the collection.
A good guess based on the region, Napoleonic uniforms, and the fact I recently played "Donning the Sacred Heart", which is about the same thing.

A pair of ivory with ebony inlay German dice from the late 17th Century. One appears as a male, the other female. They are nude and squat in a roughly cubic shape with black pips marking the different die faces.
Modern D6 are boring.
These 17th & 18th Century dice made Game Night with grandma far more exciting, were educational, and carried only a slight potential of being cursed, before Big Cube came in and ruined everything.
Small scale miniatures being painted in strips on a cutting mat. Some fools painted tiny designs on shields of guys who will probably end up in the rear ranks
Painting 6mm greeks. Promised myself I wouldn't get too invested in shield designs. Failed.
I can't find "Expedition 33" in Boardgamegeek, does it have another name?
