Did we shut Elon Musk up???
Did we shut Elon Musk up???
I’m so angry and disappointed right now. People are underestimating how much frustration there is among not random liberals but core Democrats. We keep operating like the norms and rules from the past are still in effect. They’re not, and you don’t get points for playing it safe.
Last week for folks to join in the American Heart Association fundraiser, please donate whatever you can today! www2.heart.org/site/TR?fr_i...
But Democrats’ difficulties appear to go deeper. For example, the poll found a whopping 69 percent of voters said Democrats were “too focused on being politically correct.” Another 51 percent said “elitist” described the Democratic Party well.
Just 44 percent of those polled said they think Democrats respect work, while even fewer — 39 percent — said the party values work. Only 42 percent said Democrats share their values. A majority, meanwhile — 56 percent — said Democrats are not looking out for working people
I hope this is a wake up call for the Democratic Party leadership www.politico.com/news/2025/03...
I can’t tell you how happy and excited I am, truly a great choice and someone who will shake things up for the better!! Congrats Roger!!
If you need more ideas, hit me up and I'm happy to recommend some more ways. Don't let the national discourse depress you, there are so many folks in this country who feel the same way and want to do something, so do what you can with what you got!
You can even get involved in your local, county, or state Democratic Party committees. And if you're not satisfied with the response, then step up and take charge, this is the time for new leadership!
Whether that's volunteering for a local campaign (lots of elections this year in LA, NJ, VA, WI, etc), donating to a non-profit on the frontlines of defending against the Trump administration, or even running for office yourself (cough @runforsomething.net cough), this is the time to take action
The question I've been getting a lot these days is what can I do? Especially at a time when a lot of Democrats don't feel like their leaders will fight back. Well my message to everyone is don't sit still, do something. There's no one who will tell you what to do, YOU have to take action.
The way that we as Democrats communicate, raise money, organize, and ultimately turn out voters needs to be scrutinized. We need to go back to the values and the grassroots principles that led us to victory before.
I want to call out something I’ve heard a lot in the last couple of weeks. If the lesson you’re taking away from 2024 is that we just needed a different candidate, then you’re setting yourself up for failure.
Trump is insane and Democrats should forcefully point out that sending American troops to occupy the Gaza Strip will result in more American casualties, on par or worse than occupying Iraq or Afghanistan. I couldn’t think of a more dangerous idea right now.
Every MOC needs to take a page out of @andykimnj.bsky.social’s book, go to these offices and cause some good trouble, highlight how undemocratic and lawless these actions by the Trump administration are.
Selina Vickers, Howard Chou, Becca DeFelice, David Huynh, Katie N., Peter Albrecht, Ben Meers, Kim Rogers and so many more
There are SO MANY people to thank but I wanted to give special shoutouts to Carrie Pugh, the GOAT, Brad Bauman, Minh Michael Nguyen, Russ Rampersad, Ross Morales Rocketto, Stephen Cobb, Adam Wilczewski, Elizabeth Doyel, Samuel Nitz, Andre Treiber, Bel Leong-Hong , Michael Kapp, Wendy Davis
Well team, we didn’t win, sometimes it’s just not your day. But that’s okay because I’m not going anywhere; I’m gonna keep fighting for a better, bigger Democratic Party that will remember the working class values and grassroots principles that embody who we are.
Wow. DNC Finance Chair Chris Korge (running for reelection) thinks billionaires pay enough taxes—completely out of touch with most Democrats.
Running unopposed, he DARED someone to challenge him if they disagreed. Thank goodness Finance Committee member @limtim.bsky.social stepped up!
Would love to chat while you’re in town!
Also, what did you think of the substance of 15-20 min? I thought there were some pretty stark differences between our approaches.
Thanks for this update, but that’s not the quote, I said I raised millions of dollars for Democrats.
Re: conflicts of interest, I pledge to not take one cent from the DNC. I do think my expertise in online and SMS fundraising should be leveraged in creating vendor criteria but I will recuse myself in the actual selection of vendors.
Chair doesn’t appoint but helps to create the criteria, right now the criteria is too strict and not inclusive enough. I would lower the minimum to raise, reform the attribution system, and move the grassroots and bundling programs under one system.
I’m the only candidate running that’s talking about this, could use your help if you are friends with any dnc members!
Hopefully the party committees would join our effort, I would work with DNC, state party leaders, and other party leaders to lead the charge on this. There would be a lot of pressure on stakeholders to do something.
Agreed, I would leverage the office of the Finance Chair and the DNC to pressure platforms and vendors from allowing this type of deceptive marketing. It’s time that we take a serious stand against this behavior.
Let’s lower the barrier to entry, invest in our state finance committees, increase transparency, and tackle scamPACs! If you can help, please join our effort!
we’re live with www.timfordnc.com! At a time when we don’t have control of the White House, Senate, or House, we’re going to have go back to our grassroots fundraising principles.
Did you know that we don't share lists of DNC raisers and members with each other? There are NFC members and DNC members in the same city that have no idea of each other. As National Finance Chair, I'm ready to break down those silos and start growing state finance committees
