“States” in the context of say jersey is the background to that (which is why I’m not sure what it means here). So operated by local militia or similar rather than army. Next time I go up I will follow the arrow to see if I can find the third stone in the line.

So with the war department clue I think the 2 means this is the second in a line of stones, the arrow just denotes a boundary and the S stood for “States” which would suggest the battery was manned by a local militia rather than the army (but could be wrong and don’t know if that’s likely)

As I understand that they are cancelling our elections I don’t really feel that I should have to pay any council tax 😄.

Not sure what point there is putting it in strategy if unworkable. Just makes things worse. Given permissions are running below targets what is the main hurdle? Does the island need 5000 new homes in next 5 years? There are less than 500 households in temp accommodation on island and no work??

2. 40% affordable discount idea is probably unworkable. Building costs on island higher than mainland so if you want 40% on 35% of the houses you make it uneconomic and end up with no houses. Perhaps that’s the intent? Tough job of course.

Interesting insight into the planning process. That said the interviewer failed to ask a difficult question and OB seems unfamiliar with the reality of dealing with his dept which most people I know find v frustrating.
