Oh absolutley. I'm pretty much the same way. It's how I handle the whole "is there a god" question as well. I just kinda act in way my mind would think a god wants me to act.
Also because I forgot before. I'm very sorry for your loss but I'm glad you seemed to have had a good funeral for him.
I think it's fine for people like us to be a bit spiritual in moments like these. I think it's good and gives a bit of strength. E.g. I like to Believe in Karma when I feel a bit underappreciated and it kinda keeps me going in those down moments.
