Films hanging on a stand, and being swapped around for two hours straight. Audible clicking and whirring during the silent parts of songs.

And the wildest thing: intentional burning of the film to produce a cool melting/bubbling effect. All this was done live.

Saw GY!BE for the first time. I'd heard they have projections playing during their shows, and the projectionist is basically a member of the band, but that's nothing compared to what I witnessed.

There were four analog film projectors, sometimes overlapping. A small pile of reel containers (cont.)

What 9 days of being offline does to a mfer. I keep going.

I still use my phone/PC, but just to keep up with local stuff and to play single-player games. I don't miss scrolling feeds.
