Two folks strolling through Gibbs Gardens in a field of daffodils in shades of yellow, yellow forsythia, white spirea and the greenest of grass pathways.
Wandering and wondering in yellow.

No, nothing to say. I love Ray Charles.
Actually, it came out in 1930.

The earliest mention on Lea Thompson's imdb page is this 1982 laser disc game. It was an interactive game where you chose the direction of the action.

I hear people on TV say "mano a mano" when they mean "man to man." It doesn't mean that. It means "hand to hand."

18 year old Debbie Reynolds in the movie Two Weeks With Love (1950). You can't find it to stream online, but many clips of the movie on YouTube. This 1914 tune would be a hit record again in 1951.

It's still on Netflix. It's even better if you remember life before the Internet and cable news. Good stars in it, too. Dark comedy alert.

Always question your GPS when you search for the "shortest route". I had a similar one lane horror drive on the back roads of some Tennessee mountains, with hairpin turns (Gatlinburg area).
Here's one in Colorado, so enjoy it from the safe comfort of home.

Actually, it did work for two years. Since that was the goal, it was considered a success. The entire complex was for 8 people, with even more underground than shows in the photos. But toward the end there were food shortages and declining oxygen levels. It's still a fascinating story.
Remember biosphere 2, from the 1980's and 90's? The sealed eco-chamber that was going to be practice for Mars, or even life on Earth? Well, it didn't work as a self-contained world.
Here's a good video that tells the story, plus a tour. It's much bigger than I thought.

As it turns out, that Chevy ad is real (not CGI), and the people are really up there, too. They've done it before.

Jurassic Park was not the first film about a theme park gone bad. I guess that would be West World (1973) and its sequel, Future World (1976). Any other, I'm unaware.
There are a lot of stars in this film (beyond what's mentioned). Free on Pluto TV and Tubi.

The timing seems to be after her 700 performances of The Miracle Worker, after the filming of the movie, but before its release.
I darkened the clip slightly and left the scratches for detail.

The first Gidget was played by Sandra Dee in the 1959 movie. Sally Field played Gidget in the TV series.
I have a hard time trusting Google AI, but this list seems to be accurate.
Gidget was a real person. Her father wrote a book about her in 1957. Gidget turned 85 this past January 19, 2026. Very entertaining interview from a podcast from around 2017:
