Day 1 of Spring Breaking in Canada has been wild, a recap:
1. We upgraded our phone plan for international travel. 20 mins driving in Canada none of our phones worked

My question is to other parents. How are you dealing with this or potential situation? I’d really would like to know.
Please spare me from political rants. I don’t have the energy to deal with it.
Second was a social media threat. Both the school and police deemed these scares as “not active”, with vague reassurances. Possibly still investigating. No news coverage or even a social media searches. A feeling of hopelessness.
My son’s elementary school had two active shooter threats this and last week. He is safe, as parents of a 4 year old in pre-k, we are terrified.
First the school’s building was graffitied with obscenities and threats.

Opinion that I'll die on a hill for:
Major Charles Winchester was a much better character on M*A*SH than Major Burns. Winchester was better developed, more 3 dimensional, and evolved as time went by. Burns was always just a whiny immature sex-pest who never grew or changed.
I know our country is on fire. I know Trump is bad and is doing very bad things, and I often address those things with posts and reposts. But if I post a joke about my kid or my dog or a pleasant experience at a diner, don’t scold me for not exclusively talking politics 24/7. Please just ignore me.
