I thought I saw something about Dean Cain in the news, but I was mistaken
I thought I saw something about Dean Cain in the news, but I was mistaken
One of the great things about being a Superman fan is (at least in my personal experience) how nice the online fandom is
Post your favorite Lord of the Rings character. Wrong answers only.
Can relate. I was a martial arts kid growing up. Shotokan, Tae Kwon Do, and boxing
My kid is a violinist and aspiring quantum physicist
The 90s ToyBiz figure this look inspired also had a relatively small boomstick for Cable, but also came with a massive shoulder mounted rocker launcher
I appreciate Blood and Metal as the beginning of Nicieza giving Cable some depth
I think part of what made it click for me was when I realized that the blue/no boots were an homage to his first appearance
This is always a safe place to post a #Superman
Holy retcons! PANTHA IS RE-ALIVED???!!!!
The Question: All Along the Watchtower #3 - January 2025
Drop something PURPLE π¦πΎπ€ππ
Reminding myself of this at the moment
Other than the movie I took 2025 off from Superman for various reasons, something I largely regret in hindsight now, but if I hadn't I wouldn't have signed back up for the Marvel app and I would have completely missed one of the greatest comics series of all time
The first time I read Dead Again I wasn't too enamored with it, but on my second reading I realized what a great primer it is to Superman's mythos for anyone that jumped on the books with the Zero issues

Happy #SheHulkSunday
Saturn Girl was forced to suppress Clark's memory of the adventure to preserve the timeline
A retconned version Mon-El is slotted into Superboy's place in later stories
My humble retcon idea:
The three founders came back in time to ask the adult Superman for help, but crash landed in a time after Clark discovered his powers but before he adopted the Superman identity. He went on an adventure with him that inspired them to form the Legion
I struggle with reading Silver Age Superman stories, but I want to be more familiar with them. I know there's a podcast that breaks down the annuals and specials, but is there one that goes issue to issue through that era?
Strong women are awesome
If you think "I'm a mess", you aren't
If you're doing your best, that's all you need to do
Speaking of Batwoman, I'm finally reading The Question: All Along the Watchtower. Great stuff
Knowing how much affection they have for the Silver Age, Morrison probably viewed "Superman gets turned into electricity" along the same line as the various wacky transformations from that era
You got this
That's legit, BUT we also wouldn't have gotten Superman turning the entire moon into a giant electromagnet
I have to admit I like it less when drawn by other artists of that era, but Jimenez, Gleason, and Mahnke made it look great in the main Superman title
It's #SupermanSunday
You got this
Even though I didn't care for it when I first read these issues, and while still I'm definitely Team Red Trunks, I've really come to love the love the Rebirth suit
