Really depends on how novel or interesting the software you are trying to develop is. My company has found AI of limited use on the mathematically intensive software development required for physics simulations.
Front end + back end web dev definitely getting somewhat commoditised though.

Observationally greater LLM usage seems to be consistently correlated with devs getting tangled in knots more frequently and shipping buggy and hard to maintain code.
Just seems to crop up again and again and seriously negatively impact useful work output π€·ββοΈ
Another problem is community fatigue in reception to new open source projects. Clearly vibe coded projects which wont be maintained are posted constantly in programming subreddits and it makes everyone more cynical about the value of anything new proposed.
