i think this post made it into the Discover Feed or something, which is ironic because it's referring to an "LRT" on my profile which will be missing context.
Seems symbolic of how the site works.

i know you know this but fwiw you're also really good at the consumer-style "should i buy this?" kind of writing, especially regarding hardware! even if it's a different side of the spectrum.
it's especially handy because for that type of thing, my question literally is "should i buy this?"
The latest from me for @unwinnable.com. I tackle 2 controversial & exhausting topics: Dragon Quest VII & games criticism. Borrowing from De La Soul - fuck making content, games are complicated.
Thanks to @marioprime.bsky.social, @jakesteinberg.substack.com, & @autumn-wright.com for the inspiration.
cool
it goes for literally any individual who intentionally steals shit, yeah. loser behavior.
this is all the gen 2 team sprites if they coughed
im always saying this
I know calling reps is very nerve racking. You're not sure what's the right thing to say, and tbh having a script thrown at me makes things just as nerve racking.
I called today, and I figured I'd write up a transcript of how my call went down. Hopefully it helps demystify the process
obviously there is exceptions to this like fangames or freeware parodies or whatever but you get it
I have no opinion on what should happen LEGALLY to someone who steals someone's work, I'm just saying that I think it makes you a fraud and a loser.
It's pathetic and makes you look pathetic.
LRT I know that people have complex feelings about Pokemon Company vs Palworld and stuff like that, and I do too.
But I do think, broadly, that if you steal a character design from another artist and then put it into your game, you're a fraud and a loser.
Not content to just steal from the real deal, this game is also ripping off fan designs π¬
Well i wanted to write about the responses to "what is magic the gathering to an outsider look like" but i wrote a lot about the first thing so i guess it'll be a series of blog posts over on my tumblr.
Part 1: The game is too complicated
ok now i'm hearing the picnic tables might be for Super Expensive Premium Pass Holders so even the idea of sitting at a table might've been commodified
Super Sonic with a bright aura of warm colors
Heβs Super!

but of course............we can't simply have nice things
If they hadn't done the fence and sign and had just contributed some picnic tables and tents it would've been a nice upgrade that I'd actually go to bat for. It's nice to have a few more options of places to sit rather than us always needing to find a spot on the grass.
screenshot of the game where a little miner stands in front of a ladder going down
game screenshot: Atop the red sand, a key lies next to a treasure chest. The metal of the key and chest shine bright, like somebody has polished them just for your viewing. Choices: Unlock the chest, or Do not unlock it.

screenshot: You stand at the entrance to Hermit's Cave, a mysterious hole that appeared in the side of the mountain many years ago. Legend tells of an incredible treasure that lies at the very bottom of the cave. Many have ventured into the cave seeking its treasure, but none has succeeded. The cave is ever changing, and nobody knows how deep it goes...
i made it in time for the deadline for #7drl so here is my little roguelike mining story game!!!

Former Pixar employee u/PixelatedRonin fires back at chief creative officer Pete Docter on Reddit over claims on LGBT storyline cut from 'Elio' (2025):
Obviously a bunch of the game is about decoration and customization but for me it's really more about seeing which Pokemon will pop out of the grass and reading their funny intro dialogue.
If I were to see a Youtube compilation I think it'd ruin my interest in the game lmao.
I don't know what the word for it is but Pokopia is the type of video game where the discovery of little things like animations and dialogue quips is like half the appeal.
It reminds me of point-and-clicks where you live for the little gags or bad endings, or a game like Flock or Stanley Parable.
Yup! From what I know some Gen 2 Pokemon were already in stages of character design before Gen 1 came out. I think that's part of why they feel a bit cohesive.
I know for me a big part of it is that I like to play fast and loose. I don't like to "math out" what will actually happen each turn, I just like slamming cards down based on instinct lmfao.
I refuse to spend more than 30 seconds on a turn in a deckbuilder. Which is probably my demise.
One-panel cartoon of an ancient Roman guy wearing a tunic and laurels recoiling in alarm from a sheet cake with three cardboard tubes stuck in it, which shoot explosive fireworks all over the room. A banner at the top of the frame reads "HAPPY XXXVIIIth BIRTHDAY"
once again trying to get in The New Yorker
i noticed the exact same thing when looking at my phone yesterday lmfao

I've been running gdcparties.com for a few years now. Some shitty company BlueberryAI decided they'd just take all the source code for the work I've done and reskin it, advertising it as their own. Jokes on them...it was still linked to my events spreadsheet, and now their website looks like this π
