Heat pumps + solar are multiple times more efficient, don’t require an oil tank and oil deliveries and are an insurance against such frightening price spikes.

Roughly 15 million new cars are sold in the USA every year, roughly 2 million in UK. The majority are petrol/diesel/hybrid. Many more *could* be BEVs (pure electric). For most people who can charge at home and don't tow, it's not just easy to live with a BEV, it's better than a petrol/diesel/hybrid.

In 2022, the main issue was gas, which mainly affected electricity and heating bills.
