Oooooooh! Watch this space peeps π #EduSkyAU
Weβre pressing pause. After a sweet 16 chats, #EduSkyAU is taking a creative break to reflect and reimagine whatβs next. Thank you to every educator who showed up, shared, and shaped this space. Not goodbyeβjust space to breathe. Letβs see what emerges.

And the Apple Pippin?! #EduSkyAU
A4: It might lead to better ways of assessing student learning. See students experiment with ideas and concepts knowing they are not being measured as successful/not...
#EduSkyAU
OK let's explore some of the possibilities of play...
Question 4: How might playful mindsets unlock innovation and collaboration in education?
#EduSkyAU
@eduskyteam.bsky.social
Play like you want to learn something! #EduSkyAU
Yes to this, @adrianodiprato.bsky.social 100%
#EduSkyAU
A3: Opportunities. For students to see learning as more than something to fill their brains. To allow students time to wrestle with ideas in a way that is not measured. #EduSkyAU
A2. Deep learning without play is like trying to breathe with half a lung. You might survive, but you wonβt thrive. Play is the rehearsal room of creativityβitβs how we prototype understanding. Strip it away, and we flatten curiosity into compliance. #EduSkyAU
It wasnβt amazing. Still a bit tender but Iβll survive!
Tinkering is the best way to start. Even if your're not sure...what's the worst thing that can happen?! #EduSkyAU
A1b: I play all the time. In the kitchen. Play with technology. Play with ideas. And I am learning to play the trumpet. Waiting for my next break as a jazz musician! #EduSkyAU
A1: I played soccer on Sunday. It was great. Probably would have felt a lot better had I not trod on a rusty nail an hour before! #EduSkyAU

Hey all. Matt from Perth. Jumping in and out while prepping for camp! #EduSkyAU
Yes. Constraints are the fuel of creativity and innovation. Resources are finite. #EduSkyAU
A5. Probably not enough of a voice in overall design. They didnβt like the stools we originally put into Food Tech. Got better seats based on that feedback! #EduSkyAU
A5. Students shape the space with me. Whether itβs rearranging tables or choosing what goes on the walls, their voice is central. Design becomes a mirror of the community weβre buildingβrelational, respectful, and regenerative. #EduSkyAU
Yeah brilliant. I havenβt taught it yet, so interesting to see how it looks. #EduSkyAU
Safety. Itβs all we are thinking. And thereβs some pretty hi tech equipment in there! #EduSkyAU
The hardest thing in the Design & Tech space is getting the initial setup prepared for safety, flow and storage. #EduSkyAU
Iβll keep you posted. Sounds like I might need to get some ideas from you and @brookssensei.bsky.social #EduSkyAU
A4 b: Our biggest issue is classroom space. So many classes that are general purpose are not good for us. And any furniture movement is okay, but donβt dare leave it moved. Or face the email wrath. #EduSkyAU
A4: not much. Everything is pretty much fixed. We can move benches for specific events but for the most part, ovens and cooktops donβt move. In our engineering rooms, pretty much the same. #EduSkyAU
Flexibility is key. Particularly if rooms are used for multiple purposes. Our Year 7 project in Sem 2 Dig Innovation is to redesign learning spaces. Canβt wait to see what they do. #EduSkyAU
Iβll do my best!
#EduSkyAU
a3: for starters, it needs to be a kitchen! We actually need to balance our ideas with shire regulations and it can be tricky to find the right mix. #EduSkyAU
Great to see you hosting, Anna! #EduSkyAU
Hey #EduSkyAU Matt from Perth. Jumping in late. Just home from school sport. Keen to chat with the crew while I cook some lamb shoulder!
