Coming up on 30 years since the Dunblane school shooting massacre (13th March 1996) and watching another documentary about it. The families wanted to end legal handgun ownership and we passed those laws. We’ve not had a school shooting since. I ache for all Americans who cannot get this done there.
The money that could have given Americans universal healthcare here at home is being spent instead to murder schoolgirls overseas.
Sen. Murray: "I'm just sickened by this. To go into this war unprepared, to use outdated data, and to have this horrific thing happen where children were killed in a school sends a horrible message to those that are in a war with us and to our own constituents about what America's values are."
The president is handing out oversized clown shoes to his cabinet — and watching to see who refuses to wear them.
It's Solzhenitsyn's Stalin story come to life: the first person to stop applauding ended up in the gulag. The lesson then, as now — never be the first to stop clapping.
WHAT? Frank Burns has a problem with unflattering pics? Seriously. 😒
Energy Secretary Chris Wright wrote on his social media account that “The U.S. Navy successfully escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz to ensure oil remains flowing to global markets.” Oil markets rebounded. There’s only one problem. THAT. NEVER. HAPPENED. Wright deleted the post…”
Most presidents do their best to spare vulnerable Americans from harm; Trump seems thrilled each time he demonstrates his power over them. “It’s worth it” essentially means ‘I don’t care what suffering I cause because I just want to get my way.’ open.substack.com/pub/contrari...
Spend down: a common practice at the end of the fiscal year to utilize excess gov’t allocated funds to ensure the same amount is available to spend for the following fiscal year. (Ex. Replacing items that have never been used with brand new or spending extravagantly to justify the budget allowance.)

Strange how every “America First” move somehow ends up helping Moscow. What a coincidence.
The Chump Economy.......
This administration is committing Watergate level crimes multiple times per week—and those are the ones we know about. It’s crazy to think about what else will come out after.
It’s absolutely essential these criminals are held responsible for their crimes. We must end elite impunity.
Connect the dots
There are many ways to lie to the American people. Not telling the whole story is one of them: youtube.com/shorts/6YZXz...
“We seem to be on a path toward deploying American troops on the ground… putting in danger American lives… Russia seems to be aiding our enemy, actively and intensively, with intelligence and perhaps with other means, and China, also, may be assisting Iran.” open.substack.com/pub/heatherc...
So… isn’t that effectively admitting the DOD fully intends to use AI surveillance on the American people?

Pretty sure the GOP efforts to reduce the status of women to housewives and breeders for the church while depriving them of equal rights falls well within the principles of Sharia law.
Absolutely, this needs to happen...
Great point from @normornstein.bsky.social: Trump's demand that the GOP pass grotesque voter suppression measures is explicitly described by him as the way to win the midterms, implicitly admitting Trump's policies are failing.
On the pod Norm is so good on all this:

Trump is in serious trouble. His war is deeply unpopular. He's now in the toilet on the economy, immigration, and national security. His public standing is getting close to being broken in an irreparable way, akin to Bush after Iraq and Katrina:

It’s about time someone said it out loud on a national news show.
Major Gen. Paul Eaton (ret.) — on Trump’s interest in putting boots on the ground:
“We have a situation where someone called a malignant narcissist is unfortunately drifting into a state of dementia that is difficult to manage.”
I believe he is! 😃
The Marine who had his arm broken for daring to stand up for the American PEOPLE:
Sgt. Brian McGinnis is out of jail after he was arrested for expressing his opposition to the US war on Iran in Congress. Capitol Police officers and Senator Sheehy broke his arm as they removed and arrested him.
Sadly, I am one of a very large number of Americans in total agreement. No need to apologize. The rest of us are doing the best we can.
