As the campaign manager for the Vermont Reproductive Liberty Amendment, I can tell you what they're afraid of.
The Reproductive Liberty Amendment was +20 in towns where Trump was +10.
This is an attempt to deny voters their voice and weaken democratic turnout.
The Gov was right when he said this. He can deliver by signing H.217 and making VT not just "a leader" but THE leader in child care.

Yes, they’re reconvening on June 20th for a veto override session. Last year they overturned his veto on all resident voting in Winooski and Montpelier VT so I expect the same for Burlington.
Multiple other bills need a veto override however - including the budget.

Burlington voters, myself included, overwhelmingly supported all resident voting.
Two Vermont towns have already implemented this measure and it was commonplace in the early 1900s.
I hope the legislature acts to override this veto and enact the will of the voters.
