That “24/7” documentary about his fight with Mayweather was incredible. The sense of humour from him and his team was off the charts.

Oh man, that is really sad. A great character and a terrific fighter. Tragic.
A rare political pronouncement from me - Kier Starmer of the UK Labour party is the weakest streak of piss I have seen in my life. Presiding over a MASSIVE majority but he is too timid to meet the moment and tries to appease bigots who simply cannot BE appeased - not even by their own side!
Poster for the Spike Lee movie Highest to Lowest, which I found disappointing.
Spike Lee (68) and Denzel Washington (70) team up to let us know what things aint what they used to be. Sympathetic to that point of view but it gets in the way of the movie. Disappointing 6/10
Don’t mess with the Trinity
The town of Whitby's success perhaps lies in refusing to become a fossilised “heritage town.” While the abbey ruins, Dracula associations, and maritime past are all central to its identity, Whitby hasn’t stood still. Instead, it kept layering new traditions onto the old, which keeps visitors
words don't mean anything anymore
If you can get past all the scouse accents, this show is a 10/10
The 90s were a wildly progressive decade of alternative music.
A very good morning from Casper the Cat
Impressed by the Dell Vikings one and I think I had that Ace Story lp… 🤔
No doubt that the Eyeball Monster is the breakout star of Alien Earth
“fearless” is probably my favourite Jet Li movie.
🤩 ALL THREE POINTS!!!
Advert for a four course Indian meal with George Michael Tribute by George Gee Michael.
Cancel any other plans you may have. THIS is the place to be next month.
If a steady diet of action movies has taught me anything its that you can be shot 2 or 3 times and be OK as long as you are passed a piece of cloth and advised to "keep pressure on it"
AI getting Patrick Bamford confused with John Cena
He typified that "Little General" style of half-back play. Total boss on the field.
"No Beast so Fierce" was a great crime book
They use the music in it really well, including Waylon Jennings "You Ask Me To", which could have been so cornball but fits perfectly.
I posted this in another place about four years ago.
Fires on spires and chimneys of black
Fields on horizons with pylons that crack
With singing sad wires of council house mystics
To apply their statistics And read the tea leaves,
Time knows no limits for days such as these. 1/2
A still from the movie Hell or High water - writing on a bank wall says "3 tours in Iraq but no bailout for people like us"
Watched "Hell or High Water" again last night (fourth time). Love the way that it makes it crystal clear how the banks and, lets face it, modern capitalism, just steals people's way of life without a second thought.
You don't need to worry about the "taken literally" part - if Ronnie James Dio is singing about a wizard, you can be absolutely sure he is singing about a wizard!
That's a shame - he was League through and through. My favourite quote of his was when he was criticising a referee for not getting players back the full ten yards - "if he thinks that's ten yards I'm glad he's not measuring up the carpets in my house".
So much talent gone into such a lazy, cliched, cookie cutter of a movie. Run time was 1 hour 47 but it felt like at least twice that. Sad.
I used to go see Wakey in the Northstand when it literally had no roof and there would be times when the attendance was less than 1000. To see the energy, enthusiasm and success of the club now really does my heart good. Wish I could be a part of it.
Huge fan of this French guy who absolutely cannot speak English and can only sort of sing but still covers songs in English
Its one of the saddest books I have read.
Ha ha - Up the Trin !
