Weekly tradition time: finding some rays of sunlight no matter the weather.

Tell me something good.

What good thing happened in your life this week?

Went to the Super Bowl or made a super bowl of seven layer dip, both work. Just something good.

I can’t believe it is already January 79th.

Luckily, there are only 64 days in February.

Since I am on an owl kick at the moment, found this picture I took a couple years ago in one of my luckiest birding outings ever.

A short-eared owl in the winter dusk.

How beautiful are these birds? Just striking.

Merlin claims it is a Cooper’s. Hard to tell.

Look at this little pretty one…

Saw this beautiful red-shouldered hawk perched in the parking lot of a Barnes & Noble.

I love being back to carrying my camera with me when I leave the house.

Hell, I love being back to leaving the house.

2026: more birds, more pictures, more life.

β€œLove is a ghost train rumbling through the darkness” - Counting Crows, β€˜Ghost Train’

happen to catch one of those passing by while rumbling through the darkness myself during a light snow a few weeks ago.

Oh, I portend. Nobody portends like me!

[you have to read that in George Costanza voice for it to really work.]

New Year, new me.

Technically, it’s more like β€˜old me’… but being back to being that person feels pretty new.

Got out with the camera yest for the first time in ages. Nature came β€˜round to welcome me back. Even this barred owl popped by to say hello.

Let’s GO, 2026. It’s gonna be a good year.

Me in 2025: I’m never leaving my room again.

Maybe we should put a wooden stake through 2025 just to be sure.

Weekly tradition: finding some rays of light no matter how dark the clouds. There is always some light. Finding it matters most when it is hardest.

Tell me something good.

What good thing happened in your life this week?

Felt brand new or felt like your old self again, just something good.

That’s how you do it. Work on your technique. Shave off precious seconds.

That’s the real marathon

02.11.2025 14:34 πŸ‘ 7 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

It takes a village.

New York City Marathon today.

It has taken an entire year of not training, but today, I move another step closer to achieving my lifelong goal of never running a marathon.

Accurate. I don’t know who this Darren guy is but the guy has to learn how to order a proper cup of coffee. It was like drinking a cup of diabetes.

Carpool? Maybe stop for somebody else’s sandwich and coffee on the way?

30.10.2025 22:52 πŸ‘ 20 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

It… was not.

Damn, people put a whole lot of that syrup shit in their coffee

I accidentally took the wrong drink at Dunkin’ Donuts this morning and didn’t tell them.

Am I going to hell? Or just prison?

30.10.2025 22:49 πŸ‘ 250 πŸ” 4 πŸ’¬ 51 πŸ“Œ 2
