yeah it's p nuts but marathon does actually have the juice. i feel as though Bungie is engaging with the Extraction Shooter as a genre on its merits and ludo narrative just as much as it is making a "fun game" out of it

it's not the mechanics of the MMO that are the cool part, it's the whole "why do we want to play an immersive MMO in the first place? and where does the hiki phenomena come from?" and all that...it's stuff I think is rly cool but maybe it's just cus i used to be a hikkineet lol

oh 1000%!!!!!! great connection and i totally agree...dot hack sign is the peak of dot hack's whole shtick and it's one of my favorite anime of all time. the whole trapped in an MMO genre never hit the peaks that dot hack did afterwards I think, at least that I've seen...i feel like the dot hack

triage is really fucking mentally taxing. even if it's low acuity BS all day--almost especially if it's low acuity BS, cuz it's the same fucking conversation at least 65 times a day with the same type of person. when it's a high acuity day it's even worse, cus managing a lobby of actually sick ppl//
finally got out of triage for 12 hours a day--now im running the fast track clinic for wound repair/care and stuff. rly fun. want to kms way less now
