This is a really fun thing to peruse through if language interests you at all. The invention of the printing press emanates like a gong in the jump from 1400-1500. Theres also some tidbits at the end that can apply to your TTRPG writing. E.g. writing as a performance.

Made it mostly through 1300 before it got hard. I could probably puzzle out more, but that's just because I have a little familiarity with old English and even some Anglo Saxon.
