«imagination is the product of difference: it is sparked and grows when we encounter the unexpected, the foreign, the new.»

James Baldwin and Nikki Giovanni "A Conversation". Full Broadcast Video YouTube video by LoVetta Jenkins (Chatty Passenger)

And also talking about radical imagination, please watch this outstanding and rare conversation between Nikki Giovanni and James Baldwin, recorded in 1971.

They talk about capitalism, family issues, relationships, what a village is, and many other still relevant things. Pure gold.

I’ve been reading Báyò Akómoláfé for years now, such a generous and thoughtful spirit ✨

«“we” aren’t even entirely ourselves given that “we” are composed of many “others,” many strangers that nevertheless make up what we call a “self”»

The Radical Imagination The idea of the imagination is as evocative as it is elusive. Not only does the imagination allow us to project ourselves beyond our own immediate space and time, it also allows us to envision the fut...

Esto me ha recordado 'The Radical Imagination. Social Movement Research in the Age of Austerity'

An ode to being radical - Pluto Press In this excerpt from 'Radical Justice', Nani Jansen Reventlow teaches us that we have power to change the course of history.

«We need to organise and build a mass movement around our vision for a community, a country, a world built on a foundation of human rights and racial, social, and economic justice.»
