Sir James Munby
Former senior family judge dies at 77
Sir James Munby, former president of the High Court family division, died on New Year’s Day. He was 77.
“That he chose to spend the greater part of his career in family law was of great and long-lasting benefit," his successor Sir Andrew McFarlane said.

Sarah and Brian explain how being part of Streetwise Opera gave them the confidence to ask for support, feel listened to and be treated with respect. A new world opened its doors, where people took them seriously and they were trusted.

Lammy’s response to Leveson
Tactical withdrawal? Or political spin?
David Lammy will respond today to Sir Brian Leveson’s review of the criminal courts. It seems the justice secretary is not going quite as far as originally reported. But he would not be the first to ask for more in order to claim credit for making concessions.

There is no 'need'. I think it's simply a recognition of the status of the two roles which they hold & will have held when they retire

The Lady or Lord Chief Justice is generally referred to by the initials, LCJ or is simply The Chief (but not in Court)

The male chief justices have always for hundreds of years been referred to as Lord Chief Justice. Lady Carr is our First Lady Chief. The role makes post holder a member of the House of Lords (our upper house of Parliament) where all the occupants are referred to as Lords or Ladies

Goodness; hadn't come across this problem. Dog poo left (including actually in bags) is a revolting, regular problem in so many places

These are funny precisely because we all know we've made these sorts of silly/funny mistakes ourselves. Not the least bit cruel, imo
