Now that i read this, i do not feel as i was very helpful :c especially trying to keep it simple.

Example, subnet mask 255.255.255.0 will also be called /24 because through all 4 octets of the subnet mask, there are 24 1's. 8 1's in base 2 is 255 in our numerical system (base-10). The last 8 0's tell us there are no bits reserved by the network address.

Each octet in a v4 subnet mask is made up of 8 binary 1s. The bits that are 1 represent the immutable part of a subnets network address and the 0s are wildcards for the hosts in a subnet.

If you havent already learned this, i would start with how binary works cause the math that goes into the base 2 numbering system (binary) will be crutial to being able to calculate the size of a subnet mask in v4.

as far as i have heard and seen from images on social media. i have personally stopped going to anthrocon cause i have been given too many reasons to lose trust in their management in years past (even before all this bs)

thats only what was noted in the statement in thread. he made death threats to at least one attendee i know of and they claim ac staff banned him after that. there have been a number of issues with AC (some ive personally been involved with) to lose trust in their management.

now it is possible they did and he kept getting in. and even if that is the case, it shows a lackluster effort on anthrocons end on keeping bad actors out. especially when crusaider cat was banned last year for death threats.

my problem is that he was still seen walking throughout the con even after the parade on Saturday and Sunday. To me, the fact they only took action after the con shows they dont really care about who is in their convention, they seem to only care about their public image.
