I know it feels like the day-to-day intensity of the ICE occupation in Minnesota has calmed down, but there are so many lagging problems that need solving, right as peopleβs attention goes elsewhere. Financial assistance, like help with rent, and legal help for the detained. These horrors persist.

I find it extremely difficult to believe that anyone experiencing what honestly looks like the apocalypse is going to regard it as a form of liberation or that anyone responsible for it actually cares about how Iranians regard it at all.

Every time a woman runs for president I hear that sheβs too emotional and unstable to make wartime decisions, unlike the men in charge who make really reasonable decisions like bombing kids to death, starting water wars, and poisoning the entire planet

I think what some of us very compassionate people are struggling with is the fact that at our moments of most acute crisis, MPD has shown itself to be pretty useless, despite the piles of money we shovel at them.

Steve Cramer was ED of PPL for many years. As a former worker there and at another local affordable housing non-profit, Iβm unfortunately not surprised by this at all.

The people from housing nonprofits who are standing up and speaking out against a temporary 60-day notice period for evictions should feel actual bona fide fucking shame.

Nonprofit βaffordable housingβ providers showing up to testify against Pause Eviction Saves Lives is just further highlighting the way in which nonprofits & foundations have completely failed to meet this moment. This is why we need actual social safety nets, not the Nonprofit Industrial Complex.

Itβs wild that so called βaffordable housingβ providers were advocating for people to face eviction & have to sleep out on the street. Residents have already been subsidizing their nonprofits w/ millions in mutual aid for their tenants to pay their rents. Remember this next time they beg for money.

Can we talk about Minneapolis affordable housing nonprofits flacking against an extension of eviction notice, flacking against folks having a little tiny breathing room so they may be able to get some support?

3 ICE agents got McDonaldβs and then went on a joy ride through the neighborhood tonight around 1 AM. This has nothing to do with public safety and is all about terrorizing people and burning through taxpayer dollars. This is why we canβt rest until every last agent leaves our state.

Tomorrow weβre taking up Pause Evictions Save Lives, a policy that will temporarily extend pre-eviction notice from 30 to 60 days until August 31st. This will give residents more time to get resources and support so that families can stay together and we can keep people in their homes.

The most important hospital in Minnesota isnβt Mayo, itβs HCMC. Oppressed people statewide end up as economic refugees in Minneapolis, where HCMC is the hospital of last resort. If youβve seen βThe Pitt,β HCMC is our version of that. Their people care about you when nobody else will

An official letter from the Kansas Division of Vehicles dated February 23, 2026, with a redacted recipient address. The letter notifies the recipient that due to the enactment of Senate Bill 244, all Kansas driver's licenses and IDs must reflect the holder's sex at birth. It states that the recipient's current credential will become invalid immediately upon the law's publication on February 26, 2026, with no grace period. The recipient is directed to surrender their current ID to receive a new one matching their sex assigned at birth. The document concludes with instructions on how to appeal the notice if received in error, along with contact information for the department.
Kansas is sending letters to trans people telling them that their licenses will be revoked as of tomorrow and that they risk arrest for driving on a suspended license.
This is pure cruelty.

Prosecutors have a vested interest in criminal defendants showing up for trial because they have a duty to see the cases they charge through for victims. But beyond that, courts also hold child protection, dissolution, child support, harassment/OFP, eviction, and a fuck ass ton of other hearings +
