I will never comprehend how anyone can find it entertaining witnessing these animals suffer horrific deaths.

Husband was on active surveillance for his prostate cancer. Torturous having this sword of Damocles hanging over him. NHS werenβt listening so he paid privately for another biopsy. Two new tumours found that were a different genome to the first. No wonder we have such appalling survival rates in UK.

I wonder what could have changed in 2020β¦β¦π€
I started on a dose so low it barely registered in the measuring syringe. Even at that ridiculously low dose, it caused GI side effects that made a Crohns flare look like a walk in the park. After 10 days I gave up - absolutely no hope of ever titrating up to a meaningful level.
Itβs becoming more difficult every year. Trying to get my 89 year old extremely vulnerable mother vaccinated this winter had my head spinning off my shoulders. Epic levels of stress.
And if you are not lucky enough to be in an effective hospice if this happens? Trust me, Iβve spent a weekend frantically trying to sort out an increase in pain relief, driving 50 miles to get a scrap of useless oral morph from the only open pharmacy whilst my loved one suffered.
Then why arenβt they utilised (weβve had decades to sort this). Iβve watched my brother and m.i.l experience terrible deaths, 1 in a hospice and 1 at home (you could hear her screaming down the street). Why canβt we have both? Dignified palliative care and supported dying for those that want it?
A joy to see you here - My bingo card is now complete β€οΈ
The trauma inflicted on health workers is worthy of prosecution in itself let alone the needless loss of life, illegal partying, corrupt vip lanes. However many times I hear this stuff, I still find it totally shocking and unforgivable. Please know how thankful I am for people like you.
Welcome @richardjmurphy.bsky.social almost a full house now on my bingo scorecard!
In which I make the case that, objectively, this is the worst period of government in modern British history. Like ever. unherd.com/2023/10/rish...
