Since I am (re-learning to be) single on one of my favorite holidays tomorrow I am cutting off all my hair and getting pampered at the salon. It’s a self love Valentine’s Day this year 💅

Long distance relationships are hard, not going on vacation in 5 years is hard. Technically I could just work extra hours this month to cover it but really the money should go to residency apps and paying for auditions :(((

Flights to Seattle for the SGO conference are 500 but flights to London for a week during my “vacation” month are 499 right now…I have a google alert set and this is the first time they’re under $700. I shouldn’t but I want to :(

Had a patient in labor pretty far along so I went home to shower at 6pm and my hot water tank blew. Came back and they refused cervical checks.Hung out in the doctors lounge and thankfully fell asleep around 11 for 30mins before baby came, it’s 1am and I have to be back at 6 and I’m just now leaving

Currently applying for auditions watching the Grammys red carpet to see Taylor…I should add a section to my CV about clowning for this woman and her Easter eggs lol

One of the residents started calling me “ortho bae” because of how often I call them ortho bros lol

Found a stethoscope in the ortho supply bucket today and I jokingly said “why is this here, none of you remember how to use it lol”

I got to close today and my sutures awarded me a gold star ⭐️ the residents are now trying to get me to switch to ortho so I can be their resident. I won’t be, but I needed the validation I’m preforming well because my imposter syndrome has been quite high lately

This is ortho with residents because my school requires a third year rotation with a resident and no one else would take me and it seems they think this is a sub I for me and I want to die already. I just wanted a chill rotation I’m not an ortho bro 🥲

Woke up with a nasty URI, slept till noon, drove to Ohio for my next rotation, go back to sleep, and then get your schedule this week from the resident saying see you at 5am. My aunt lives an hour away and I’m barely alive no please 😭😭😭

We do kielbasa for breakfast and usually the aunts come over for pierogi parties that week! My grandma used to make these tho when I was a kid!!

At my parents, and the winters made me afraid of house mice as a kid because the family room was a garage in the 50s so it’s not well insulated…clearly just need to bring your cat home to fix your fear bc I woke up to some intestines at my feet 🥲
