Why do you think they're trash and only good for a laugh? Is it because of how the story was developed, the visual effects weren't good enough, or for another reason?

Oh, right! Now that you mention it, I remember that SMRRF was held this weekend. I saw a lot of people from the 3D printing community there.
Did you have fun, even though you went alone? What did you do during the event?

I know most major conventions are abroad. The US has lots of them, and Japan would honestly be a dream!

Based on your interests, which events would you recommend? Which ones are worth the trip and investment?

This applies whether you go as a fan or for work (e.g. as an artist)

Two of the main reasons I've never gone are the budget and not really having anyone to go with.

So I'm also curious, do you usually attend these events alone or with someone?
And if you go alone, how do you find the experience, and do you have any tips?

I've never been to a convention or fandom event before, like those for anime/manga, movies/TV series, art and toys, or 3D printing. But I’d like to change that.

I've always wanted to attend events like Lucca Comics in Italy, but haven't had the chance yet (hopefully one day!)

Okay, Resident Evil 1 or 2 remake. Noted.
I'll keep an eye out for them and see if they're something I might enjoy.

I'm having trouble understanding where I can apply, especially since I've more experience with 3D modeling for manufacturing than with games/animations. And I'm afraid to apply for those positions.
But again, most of those positions are on-site, and moving abroad would be difficult for me right now.

I've also never even seen any movies of the franchise haha

I've never played any Resident Evil games. Is it really that good?
I've never been into horror movies or games, so I'm not totally sure if it's something for me.
But I'm kind of intrigued because a lot of people love it.

Question for my fellow artists:

Would you apply for a job that clearly states the position is on-site, even if you live in a different country, hoping the employer might consider a remote option?

Does it still make sense to apply in that case, or do you usually just skip it?

As I said before, I'm afraid to apply again to this company in particular because they previously rejected me for the same role in a different location.

I wish I knew whether it was because of my location or something else.
