I understand why people might use this, but ChatGPT (at least) would never be willing to call you out on your BS. That sounds like a serious failing.
Ever wonder about the totem pole on the South side of the Iona Building?
From Kevin Ward:
"The pole is titled All My Relations, and it was designed and carved by Jack (Jackie) La-Sah Timothy from the Sliammon First Nation, near Powell River, B.C."

I am about to have 10,000 new tenants! 🌻🐝
Understandable! It was important to me that an event on social connection be held in person - with a reception. We are hoping to provide an audio recording after the even. Stay tuned for more news on that!
The event I’m organizing at UBC Robson Square on June 4 is almost "sold out" (it's free!)
We will be exploring loneliness through the lenses of gender, love, climate, health and economics - what's driving it, and how we can address it.

We are already seeing this in action - with students arriving in their senior years lacking the basic competencies that they should have developed in first and second year.
We are almost past worrying about the cheating at this point. We need to move on to figuring out how we are going to deal with a skilled workforce that has no idea how to do their actual job.

On the current situation, in case that isn't clear!
@justinwolfers.bsky.social When are you going to make a video for me to should to Principles of Macroeconomics class?
Good things we have a province that makes excellent cheese!
TBH, do we really want US dairy products?
I suspect as well that the decrease is coming almost exclusively out to those who would be traveling for consumption rather than those travelling for work / visiting family etc. In which case the drop in spending would be proportionally greater than the 30%.
Guess he won't mind having that citizenship revoked after all.
Yikes!
Now I fully appreciate what the kids mean when they say are "shook".
It will be interesting to see if they show up in March, but I would imagine that April is going to be wild.
This baby is too young to be vaccinated, which is why this is never a just a personal decision.
Single Canadian guy actually smuggling fentanyl to US really flattered by task force
So cute. I think that one too!
As a Canadian, I would like to say that no one is unpacking their bags. I can't speak for everyone, but I think we are almost at the "I am going to stay with my sister" stage of the relationship.
Happy Birthday my friend!
I went to buy a vacuum part today and the sales woman told me three times that it was made in Canada.
Good. Crazy idea, maybe now sell wine from other Canadian provinces?
I don't know if this is feasible, but could Canada not also just dump its holdings of US debt?
Meant to say twelve months, obviously don't expect anything that happen quickly.
Nothing on interest rates, which presumably increase in most scenarios. This is bad news for all of the five year mortgages that they locked into during COVID set to expire in the next two months.
Short lesson on Canadian culture for my American friends: Regardless of how long this lasts, Canadians will NEVER forget being treated this way. There are people who will never again buy Californian red, spend a weekend in NY, or make a run to Trader Joes. The axe forgets, but the tree remembers.
We are hiring!
