Crikey! Neal Bartlett being 50 makes me feel old (not quite as old as Neal). I remember him being in my Premier League 94 sticker album, rising stars (or something like that) section. Also a fellow Woolstoner I think. Pretty sure I went to school with someone who lived in the same road as him.

Really good thread. The defeatist attitude bit is where I am now. I’m ready for relegation, it won’t be as painful as 22/23 or 04/05. There’s a good championship squad that I’d be quite confident would come back up, and could be built on, once free of some of this seasons financial constraints.
Said with a pinch of salt tbh. I’ve had a season ticket since 05/06, minus a couple of years.
I had a few years in Bitterne too when I was a youngster. I went to Bitterne CoV School before we moved to Woolston in 1986.
I grew up in Woolston, I’m now in Parkstone. I still work in Soton and will be there tomorrow. Hopefully the calm after the storm by then!
