A rare fail by The Onion, but they are American.

This is their world, we're just living in it. We had a brief period of disproportionate power due to inventing glasses (as in spectacles, not drinking vessels) and industrialisation, but we're moving back towards business as usual.

They don't support Russia, they're trading partners. Western capitalism chose to become reliant on Chinese goods (and not just the cheap ones) due to its embracing of neoliberal, laissez-faire capitalism. They sacrificed long term growth for short term profit (for a minority of people).

I'm well aware what the Chinese have achieved. What I meant, which I think was easily understood, is that America (and by extension The West) have repeatedly fucked up and not dealt with serious issues. The West is massively complicit in its own destruction, from Trump to Brexit, the list goes on.

He's probably too busy to bother watching American news. Americans need to get over the idea that the rest of the world is as obsessed with America as America is with itself. China is the centre of Xi's world, not the dying empire thousands of miles away.

I think it's more likely that the entire CPC is well versed in Sun Tzu's "Art Of War" and they know that the ultimate victory is achieving your objectives without fighting, through superior strategy, intelligence, and diplomacy, making conflict unnecessary.

No matter how angry these men get, they're never going to sleep with someone who actually cares about them and likes them for who they are. Sad.
