I cannae say it is the best, but I tell my lot (in FE) to always look for the basic angle facts and annotate the diagram as they go along.
A few students from mainland Europe and Africa would go for sum of angles on a straight line and then the opposite interior angles sum...

Great SLT, they will eventually and efficiently weed out or improve the "not good other colleagues".
The second one, methinks, leads to frustration (and possibly, burnout) because no matter how great the colleagues are, the SLT will stop progress and create additional and unnecessary workload.

I've never met a child who behaved worse when the rules were clear and consistent. It doesn't matter how many times people characterise clear and consistent rules as "high control", "authoritarian" or "zero tolerance". Clear and consistent rules help all kids to behave and learn.
