And I get the whole "took our jobs!" thing, but if we manufactured iPhones from start to finish they would cost $5000 and you wouldn't have one. And no one even can make coffee in the US.

To decide that we won't buy more from a country than they buy from us just means we won't buy anything from countries that are small or poor.

The idea that trade with each country should be balanced is absurd.

With some countries, like France, americans buy more from them than vice versa because there are simply many more americans.
With other countries like China there are fewer amercans, but they are far wealthier.
