The Department of Ed has a form to snitch on DEI policies in schools.
Iβd be a shame if we broke it with thousands of responsesβ¦ enddei.ed.gov
Governmentβs wins are often invisible: Systems that avoid plane crashes; alliances that avert war; surveillance that prevent pandemics.
Government wins are often *the avoidance of loss.*
So how do we tell the story of the destruction of government? The story of future losses *not* averted?
Is there anyone out there that is mapping any delayed or cancelled federal payments ? Would be really interesting to see which towns and cities are going to be hit
The Amish egg stand is charging over $10 for a dozen. Next time I give up democracy for cheaper eggs, I better get cheaper eggs π‘
Operation ICE Ride-Along isnβt going as planned. π₯
Fox News tagged along with ICE, hoping for an exclusive look at βdangerous criminals.β Instead, they got a whole lot of nothing. No threats, no big arrestsβjust a community that wasnβt having it. The narrative is falling apart.
Anyone who cares about the core principles our of government will need to protect civil servants who defend the law. But a defensive crouch is the wrong response. If youβre mad about what Musk is doing to government, itβs time to go on the offense to reform it. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/07/o...
@cassidoo.co @tomzorz.me I feel targeted
Elon laying off most of Twitter and the app continuing to work probably inspired these federal layoffs. Federal code legacy systems are not the same as Twitterβs codebase. Laying off those federal govt engineers will result in immediate broken services.
Today is Fork in the Road Day, and we should be thinking about legacy code all over government.

this is modern journalism. @wired.com "built software to systematically check the status of 1,374 government domains. The tool runs periodic scans, tracking whether sites remain accessible, how their servers respond, and if the domain names still resolve."
