I’m impressed with how many Americans seem to be upset by Trudeau‘s departure. This was a long overdue and a relief, as it may help preserve his party which was otherwise facing a wipeout by undeserving alternatives.

Not at all. It is actually a positive move that might prevent the ascension of a conservative party government. Trudeau had become unpopular across the board. If anything he should’ve done this months ago.
Don’t be silly. Canada will endure just fine. Justin’s time as Prime Minister was up and he needed to step aside. It means nothing more and nothing less and has nothing to do with the US.
