Day 27: Bea Arthur π
βA legendary ally and LGBTQ+ champion. Famous for The Golden Girls, she was a tireless advocate for queer youth. In her will, she left $300k to aliforneycenter, helping open the Bea Arthur Residence for homeless LGBTQ+ youth. A true icon on and off screen. β€οΈ #LGBTHistoryMonth

Day 21: Allan Horsfall
βKnown as the "grandfather of the gay rights movement," He was a fearless campaigner. In 1964, he co-founded the NW Homosexual Law Reform Committee from his home, risking everything to end the criminalisation of gay men. A true hero of grassroots activism. #LGBTHistoryMonthDay
Day 20: April Ashley MBE π³οΈββ§οΈ

A hugely influential British screenwriter/producer who revived Doctor Who in 2005 for a new generation. A trailblazer for LGBTQ+ storytelling, he created groundbreaking dramas like Queer as Folk, Cucumber, Banana & the acclaimed AIDS-era drama Itβs a Sin.

Day 18: Dr. Michael Dillon π©Ί
The worldβs first trans man to undergo phalloplasty. A pioneer of modern trans healthcare, he later became a Buddhist monk and naval surgeon.
