Happy Hatch Day, Fisher! Earlier this month our Humboldt penguin turned 9.
Fisher loves spending time with his keepers and meeting guests during penguin encounters. He is one of our bachelor penguins and you can tell him apart from the other penguins with his black and pink band.

Our first DΓa de los Muertos event is next weekend, on November 1-2 with the Zoo staying open later until 9:30pm. At the heart of the event is a traditional ofrenda (altar) created to honor animals who are no longer with us like our beloved jaguar Tesoro. π (1/2)
