Texas land commissioner offers 1,402 acres to Trump for 'deportation facilities' Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham is offering the incoming Trump administration 1,402 acres it purchased along the Texas-Mexico border.

Instead of using this land to build housing for Texans during a housing shortage, Trump and Abbott want to build a huge deportation camp to hold people for unspecified lengths of time.

We've seen what happens when we throw people into camps without basic legal protection. We cannot do this again.

my advice to reporters trying to figure out what Trump is doing

Truth be told, it does seem kind of silly to have the FBI do background checks on presidential appointees when the president is a convicted criminal and an adjudicated digital rapist.
